No CGT in NZ. Wtf!
Crazy hey 😱
Excellent podcast that really hit home for me. Humble but worthwhile living where time can never be bought back.
I have 2 kids, who are 8 & 4 and feel now is the time to teach my eldest the value of saving 50% of his pocket money for his future self, caveat being I will increase his pocket money from $8 to 10$ per week 😊 as a sweetener. Thank you for all your hard work and keep on pushing your message.
I appreciate the kind words Pete 🙂
Cheers for another great podcast. Love Ruth’s accent!
I’ve only just found your podcast and it’s great. Learning a lot which is also a bonus. It’s interesting that Ruth invests in a Top 50 NZ stocks etf and not a broad market one. I wonder how that would transfer to the Aus market.
The NZX50 is the main index of the NZ stock exchange. It’s comparable to the ASX200 or the ASX300, by which I mean that it’s the largest / broadest ETF that you can easily buy. You would be hard pressed to find a NZX100/NZX200/etc as it does not really exist.
